About the Opportunity

Currently, Taymor is looking for a full-time IT Support Specialist to join our team, located out of our Delta location.

You will be responsible for providing front line help desk assistance and administering the processes and tools for the end user devices (computers and mobile) used throughout the organization. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting users when problems are reported, procuring and configuring devices and applications according to company standards, administration of user accounts and privileges, and ensuring a safe and secure computing environment. 

More specifically, your day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Interacts with users of all levels within the organization, providing from line help desk support, addressing user inquiries and troubleshooting technical issues.
• Procure necessary equipment, coordinating with vendors and ensuring timely delivery.
• Configure desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers and other technology devices according to company standards.
• Administer security components on end user devices such as Defender(EDR) and Intune on computers and JAMF on mobile devices.
• Conduct ad-hoc user training to promote efficient and secure usage of technology.
• Manage end user device inventory and recommend upgrades and replacements if needed.
• Administer user accounts and privileges.

About You

You will need an diploma/ degree in an IT related program and preferably have 2 years of experience in supporting desktops in a corporate environment.

We are looking for individuals who are effective problem solvers and critical thinkers with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

In addition, you must have a strong knowledge and experience in:

• Strong working knowledge of operating systems in a network environment
• Strong knowledge of Windows 11 and Mac OS and configuration of devices.
• Standard methodology to create concise and clear documentation understandable by end-users
• Familiarity with security components (Defender, JAMF)

*Will require afterhours and weekend support.
