About the Role

We’re looking for an organized, detail-oriented Accounts Payable Associate to join our Finance team. Reporting to the Controller, you’ll play an important role in ensuring our vendors are paid accurately and on time, maintaining reliable financial records, and supporting the day-to-day operations of the Finance team.

 

What You’ll Do

As our Accounts Payable Associate, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day accounts payable cycle, helping ensure transactions are processed accurately, vendors are paid on time, and financial records are well maintained. You’ll work closely with vendors and internal teams to resolve discrepancies and support accurate financial reporting.

 

  • Manage accounts payable: Maintain and reconcile the AP ledger, process and code vendor invoices, verify approvals, maintain vendor records, and process payments.
  • Reconcile and resolve: Reconcile vendor statements and accounts, investigate discrepancies, and work directly with vendors to resolve questions or issues.
  • Support financial processes: Assist with month-end reporting, daily cash deposits, government and sales tax remittances for Canada and the U.S., 1099 records, associate expense reimbursements, and commission payments.

 

What You Bring

  • 3+ years of accounts payable experience
  • A good understanding of the accounting cycle, including the differences between expenses, prepaid expenses and capital assets
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to review your own work for accuracy
  • Ability to identify discrepancies, investigate issues and work toward solutions
  • A service-oriented approach when working with vendors and internal teams
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Experience working with an ERP system is an asset
  • Familiarity with SharePoint is an asset
  • Flexibility and willingness to support a collaborative team environment
