About the Opportunity
The Inside Sales Representative plays a direct role in deepening relationships and driving sales growth and opportunities with our targeted low-rise single family residential distributor partners in all territories as well as targeted multi-family distributors outside of our Business Development Manager target markets.
The Inside Sales Representative support sales growth by working closely with Business Development Managers and Independent Sales Representatives to engage residential distributors. This role focuses on outbound outreach, follow-ups, and tracking opportunities to help secure new business and increase share of wallet. You’ll manage quotes, support pricing execution, and act as a subject matter expert and super user of CRM and order management systems. You’ll also gather customer insights and market feedback to help strengthen our offering and competitive position.
More specifically, some of your day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Support sales growth by partnering with the outside sales team and engaging distributor customers
- Manage quotes, pricing support, and follow-ups to convert opportunities into orders
- Track projects and maintain accurate pipeline and customer data in CRM
- Gather customer, project, and competitor insights to inform sales strategy
- Provide product support, training, and coordinate samples and sales tools
- Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver a strong customer experience
- Maintain CRM systems and support reporting and process improvements
About You
You’re a relationship-driven sales professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys supporting growth through strong customer connections and attention to detail. You bring a balance of sales focus and service excellence, with the ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering a high-quality experience.
- You have 3+ years of experience in inside sales, customer service, or a related role
- You’re skilled at building relationships and influencing outcomes with customers and internal teams
- You’re comfortable working with numbers, including pricing, margins, and discounts
- You have strong communication skills - both written and verbal - and are confident on the phone
- You’re highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks at once
- You’re proficient with CRM and ERP systems, as well as Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- You bring a strong customer service mindset and take pride in delivering results
- You collaborate well with others and build effective working relationships
- Experience in the construction or building industry is an asset
- Post-secondary education in business or a related field is considered an asset
