We’re looking for a Warehouse Services Team Lead to be a point person in our Delta warehouse. Someone who is as committed to safety as they are to driving performance and team engagement.  

 

About the Opportunity

The Warehouse Services Team Lead will oversee the day-to-day activities of the warehouse and product services operations, including receiving, picking, shipping of orders, scheduling and release of orders for keys, locks and displays while also fulfilling Warehouse Material Handler and Keyer/Display Builder functions. The primary objective of the Warehouse Services Team Lead is to be the point person who will coordinate and prioritize daily activities within the warehouse services team and liaise with other departments to ensure customer service delivery. The Team Lead will ensure that Taymor processes and procedures are effectively communicated, understood and followed, including actively promoting a safe work culture, correcting and enforcing workplace safety rules.

 

  • Actively promote safety by leading by example, ensuring safe work practices are followed, the work area is safe.
  • Optimize warehouse performance by marshalling and prioritizing customer orders through the warehouse.
  • Assign work and monitor performance of warehouse associates in areas such as attendance and punctuality, work quality, productivity, etc.
  • Train, motivate, coach and provide ongoing feedback to all associates.
  • Hold regular team meetings.
  • Ensure compliance of the local operation with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Operate various equipment including order-pickers, swing reach, sit-down counter balance forklifts; pallet jacks.
  • Follow-up on internal departmental inquiries, resolving issues.
  • Liaise with customer service on customer order status in the warehouse.
  • Help schedule all product repairs resulting from customer returns and/or substandard quality delivered from suppliers.
  • Help schedule the credit return staffing targeted at immediate processing of physical receipt of returns.
  • Ensure the warehouse management system and equipment is maintained and functioning properly
  • Complete daily reports such as the Snapshot report, vehicle/equipment up time and absence reporting
  • Acts as back up to all positions

About You

  • Must have minimum 2 years experience in a Warehouse Team Lead role
  • Must have minimum 2 years experience (with certification) operating a forklift
  • Must have experience using a Warehouse Management System including barcode scanners
  • Intermediate ability with MS Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Well organized and detail oriented, with excellent time management.
  • Ability to manage conflict and remain objective and professional under pressure.
  • Be reliable with a track record of good attendance and punctuality
